With a custom domain your links read
get.example.com/autumn instead of onelink.to/autumn. Custom domains are included on Team Plus and Enterprise.- Step 1
Choose a subdomain
Use a subdomain of a domain you own, such asget.example.com,app.example.comorlink.example.com. - Step 2
Add it to your account
Under Settings → Custom Domains, enter the subdomain and choose Add Domain. It appears in your list as Setup Pending. - Step 3
Create the DNS record
Add this record where your domain is managed, usually with the company you bought it from or your web host. If someone else manages your domain, send them this step.- Type:
CNAME - Name: the subdomain’s first part, such as
get - Target:
mydomain.onelink.to
On Cloudflare, set the record to DNS only (grey cloud), not Proxied. If your domain has CAA records, allow Let’s Encrypt as well — see What if my domain has CAA records? - Type:
- Step 4
Start the setup
Open the domain in your list and choose Setup Domain. It moves through Verifying DNS and TLS Pending — while Onelink.to checks the record and issues the HTTPS certificate — to Active. That usually takes a few minutes, and can take a couple of hours while a new DNS record spreads. You receive an email when the domain is ready. - Step 5
If it stays on Verifying DNS
- Check the record’s target is exactly
mydomain.onelink.to, and its name is the subdomain, not the whole domain twice. - On Cloudflare and other CDNs, turn proxying off for this one record.
- Allow Let’s Encrypt if the domain has CAA records.
Onelink.to checks the record again about every hour, so once it is right, the setup continues by itself. If it is still wrong after about seven hours, or if CAA records block Let’s Encrypt, you get an email: fix it, then choose Setup Domain again. - Check the record’s target is exactly
- Step 6
Use it for your Onelinks
Open the domain and switch on Default Domain: every Onelink’s short link and QR code then uses it. In each Onelink’s editor you can pick another domain or plain onelink.to, and choose the Onelink’s path on the domain. This choice only decides the address in the short link and QR code you get. Every Onelink works on all of your account’s domains and on onelink.to, so links already shared keep working after a switch. A QR code you downloaded earlier keeps its old address; download it again if you want the new one. - Step 7
Decide what the domain does on its own
Someone may open the domain with nothing after it, or with a path that is not a Onelink. Under When no Onelink matches, send them to a page of your own website, to one of your Onelinks, or to a not-found page.
